Ident Crews Remain at Homicide Scene

LETHBRIDGE: Police identification crews remain at a home on Normandy Road South as they continue to investigate the city’s first homcide of the year. They are expected to remain on scene until sometime Saturday.

Last Sunday (Janurary 17th), 78-year-old Irene Carter was found dead in her home, after family members had not been able to contact her. An autopsy confirmed she died of stab wounds.

Police continue to work on a timeline of Carter’s activities prior to her death and have stated there is no risk to neighbors or the public.
