WATERTON – Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in a fatal collison near Cameron Lake in Waterton Lakes National Park.
Pincher Creek RCMP and emergency services responded to the scene around 9 p.m. on April 23, where a pickup truck travelling south on the Cameron Lake road rolled down an embankment into a creek bed.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. However, the five other passengers managed to escape with non-life threatening injuries, and call for help.
The identity of the deceased will not be released at this time, but all of the occupants are from the Cardston area.
