RCMP Investigating Thefts near Taber and Barnwell

TABER – Taber/Vauxhall RCMP are asking for information regarding a break and enter that happened sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Between 10:30 P.M. on September 13 and 7 A.M. on September 14, someone entered a potato storage facility south of Lamb Weston, east of Taber, through a partially opened garage door.

They took a number of items from the shop and office, including a computer monitor, keyboard, handheld heavy duty grinders  (18″, 6″ and a power first die grinder), 100 feet of 6/4 electrical cable and boxes of white PVC pipe fittings.

The total value of things stolen and damage done to the weigh scale is estimated at about $1400.

Police also noted a report of someone breaking into a locked work vehicle that was just south of Barnwell on an excavating site around the same time. Numerous hand tools and diesel fuel were taken from the truck.
