Volunteer opportunities available on city committees and boards

LETHBRIDGE – If you, or someone you know would like to become more involved in the community, the City of Lethbridge is now accepting applications for volunteers for a number of committees and boards. There are 12 all together, with 23 vacancies.
Included are openings on the Animal Welfare Committee, Library Board, Social Housing Action Committee and Combative Sports Commission, among many others.
There are also two vacancies on the Police Commission. Those applying for the positions must submit a Police Information Check along with their application.
Residents who sit on the committees help with the reviewing and decision making processes, and provide information and recommendations to City Council.
Applications are due by Friday, November 3, 2017.
