AAA Hurricanes win first game at prestigious Mac's Tournament

CALGARY – The Midget AAA Lethbridge Hurricanes began the Mac’s Tournament on a winning note Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Lethbridge defeated the Prince Albert Mintos 4-0 in a morning game at Calgary’s Max Bell Centre. Chandler Aleman, Michael Horon, Kadyn Chabot, and Zack Stringer scored for the Hurricanes, while Daniel Anton had two assists.

Goaltender Byron Fancy turned away all 23 Prince Albert shots.

Lethbridge’s next game is 2:30 p.m. Thursday against the New York Junior Islanders, at the David Bauer Centre. New York is tied for the Pool 4 lead, with a win and a tie.

The invitational tournament wraps up Monday, Jan. 1.
