LETHBRIDGE – Following the signings of two local players in December, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men’s soccer program and head coach Randy Bardock have announced the signing of defender Mahek Gill from Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Bardock says Gill is a high character player who was the captain of his BC Soccer Premier League team this year.

“He’s an aggressive ball winner who will have a huge impact on our back line,” Bardock added.

A release from the Pronghorns states the 6-foot defender is known for his pace of play, and ability to read plays.

He’s also expected to add an element that has been missing from the Pronghorns back line in recent seasons.

With the Fraser Valley Premier team, Gill was a member of the team that lost in in the BCSPL fall league final.

In addition to Gill, the Pronghorns men’s soccer team has announced three new additions for the 2018 season.

The signing announcement for local products David Musk and Danilo Morales took place on Dec. 7.
