Truck, semi involved in collision at Granum

UPDATE 9:30 a.m.: RCMP say the scene has been cleared, and the driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital. Injuries do not appear life-threatening.

GRANUM – A pickup truck and a semi were involved in a serious crash at a busy highway intersection Friday morning, April 13.

It happened at Granum, at the intersection of Highways 2 and 519. A photograph sent from the scene shows the front end of a Volker Stevin truck wedged under a semi-trailer. Police were redirecting traffic around the scene.

Information was not immediately available from the RCMP.

Conditions at the time were described as very icy, with poor visibility.
