Young thespians hone their skills in family friendly production
LETHBRIDGE, AB. — A theatre class for youth has produced a Halloween week performance at the Sterndale Bennett Theatre in Lethbridge and residents can take in the free performances over the next several afternoons and evenings.
Steffanie Costigan, a Lethbridge College creative writing student, has been running the youth class at the theatre for a group called NGTheatre or “Next Generation Theatre“. She came up with the story-line for a play and says the students have worked incredibly hard on their parts.
“Our little group would very much appreciate sharing this production with the community.“
“The production is called “A Stoney Gaze” – it’s about Medusa and how people turn to stone when they look at her because of the way they judge her. They see her as an object and it`s reflected back at them, turning them into stone.”
