Meeting in Pincher Creek as AHS aims to prevent emergency department closures

PINCHER CREEK, AB – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for ways in which it can prevent further closures at the Pincher Creek Health Centre’s emergency department.
AHS has scheduled an in-person community engagement session with the public on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pincher Creek Community Hall on 287 Canyon Drive.
In recent months, there have been several temporary closures at the town’s emergency department due to a lack of available physicians.
The health authority said the session will offer residents a chance to speak with AHS representatives and learn more about the steps that are already being taken, as well as to provide their own ideas.
