Local Agencies Provided Christmas Boost For Less Fortunate

Jan 18, 2016 | 10:31 AM

LETHBRIDGE – The annual Christmas campaign by the Interfaith Food Bank, Lethbridge Food Bank, and Salvation Army helped a lot of people in our city.

They were able to hand out over 1,600 food hampers during the holidays, as well as provide more than 1,600 children with toy bundles.

In total, just over 4,000 people were assisted during the holiday season, which is about a 15 per cent jump from the previous year.

With the economy struggling, organizers expect the increase in demand to continue throughout 2016.
