EDMONTON – A one-hour weather delay didn’t dampen the action at ReMax Field Friday night, as the Lethbridge Bulls edged out a 10-9 victory in extra innings over the Edmonton Prospects.

Edmonton used a seven-run seventh inning to overcome a five-run deficit to grab an 8-5 lead, and Lethbridge countered with three runs of their own in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 8-8.

The Bulls Brett Mercier then broke the tie in the top of the 10th when his single scored both Damiano Palmegiani and Grant Schmidt.

Edmonton managed to score one run in their half of the inning to make the final score 10-9 for the visiting Bulls.

Leading the way offensively for the Bulls were Hank Forrest, who had a triple with three RBI, and Kaleb Warden who managed two hits, two RBI and a run.

With the victory, the Bulls second in a row, Lethbridge is now sitting at 4-8 on the season.

They’ll look to continue their winning ways tonight when they battle the Prospects once again.
