Estephan signs with Maple Leafs’ AHL affiliate

TORONTO – Former Lethbridge Hurricanes star Giorgio Estephan has signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs’ minor league affiliate.

Estephan, who helped the Swift Current Broncos win the WHL Championship after he was traded by Lethbridge last season, is one of seven players signed by the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies. He had a total of 131 goals and 194 assists in 327 WHL games.

The 21-year-old forward, who hails from Edmonton, was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2015 and played in six postseason games with the Rochester Americans.
