LETHBRIDGE – Lethbridge College is bringing Coulee Fest back to campus this year because they believe one year of celebration just wasn’t enough.

The event will feature live music, family fun areas, food trucks, academic showcases, beer gardens and much more.

The free Coulee Fest community festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dr. Paula Burns, Lethbridge College President and CEO, says they launched Coulee Fest last year as a celebration of their 60th anniversary and it was such a positive experience they felt like they had to do it again.

“This is the college’s chance to say thank you to all of Southern Alberta for its support and we invite everyone to join us once again for a day of fun and celebration,” Burns added.

In a release, the College sates Coulee Fest is expanding in its second year, with more food trucks, more interactive program exhibits and tours, a larger street market and more options for the whole family.

All of it will be backed by a soundtrack of some of Southern Alberta’s top live bands, including Adequate, White Chocolate Thunder, and Kavanagh and Hepher.

“We want to provide an experience that is fun for everyone, so we’ve worked hard to grow Coulee Fest this year,” Lethbridge College Alumni Relations coordinator Sydney Wakaruk said. “We know that so many people in Lethbridge and beyond have strong ties to the college and we urge them to come back, visit, explore the campus and celebrate all that has been built over more than 60 years.”
