Taber man arrested with break-in tools: search locates stolen property and drugs
TABER — The investigation continues but a Taber man is facing initial charges after being picked up with break-in tools.
Early Wednesday (Sept 19) morning, Taber Police stopped a suspicious vehicle in the town’s industrial area and arrested a man who was allegedly in possession of break in tools and a large amount of stolen property.
Police determined the man had just broken into a local business.
A search warrant executed at a Taber home found more stolen property and drugs.
38-year old James Brander of Taber is facing numerous charges including break and enter/theft, possession of stolen property over $5000, and possession of break in tools.
Further charges are pending and Brander has been released to appear in Taber Provincial Court on September 25.
