TABER —  The investigation continues but a Taber man is facing initial charges after being picked up with break-in tools.

Early Wednesday (Sept 19) morning, Taber Police stopped a suspicious vehicle in the town’s industrial area and arrested a man who was allegedly in possession of break in tools and a large amount of stolen property.

Police determined the man had just broken into a local business.

A search warrant executed at a Taber home found more stolen property and drugs.

38-year old James Brander of Taber is facing numerous charges including break and enter/theft, possession of stolen property over $5000, and possession of break in tools.

Further charges are pending and Brander has been released to appear in Taber Provincial Court on September 25.
