LETHBRIDGE – Following a south side robbery Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, Lethbridge Police are asking a man who intervened to come forward.

Police say the robbery happened around 4:50 a.m. along the 300 block of 5 Avenue South, when a 51-year-old woman was approached by an unknown female. They say the suspect demanded money and when none was turned over, they assaulted the victim and took off with her purse.

As the incident was unfolding, police say a man driving a U-Haul came in to help the victim – who was treated at Chinook Regional Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The U-Haul driver and anyone else who may have witnessed the incident are asked to contact police at 403-328-4444.
