No injuries but, residents forced out of apartment complex by fire

LETHBRIDGE — Four fire stations with 23 firefighters and two medic units responded to an apartment fire in the 800 block of 15 St. S. around 8:15 Friday (Dec 14) morning.
All residents were safely evacuated and the fire was fully extinguished shortly after 9 a.m.
The fire originated in the basement mechanical room and caused smoke damage to the building’s lower and main levels.
Smoke remediation efforts were taken and all residents will be able to return home when the air quality has normalized.
