Notley vents more frustration over pipeline delays

CALGARY– Alberta Premier Rachel Notley has once again expressed frustration over a lack of progress in completing the Trans Mountain pipeline.

Notley said in Calgary today that she is fed up with the delay and it’s time for the federal government to step up and support the industry to help get oil and gas to market.

She said Alberta has offered a number of solutions, including buying rail cars to transport oil, and asked Ottawa for support, but has heard nothing back.

Notley was asked if the federal Liberal government deserves another mandate in the next federal election and replied that the previous Conservative government didn’t get the job done either.

She said there have been decades of failure from Ottawa that have put Alberta in the position it is in today.

The premier said the current government at least purchased the Trans Mountain pipeline and has a vested interested in getting it built.C
