Agriculture Companies Looking to Hire at Local Job Fair

LETHBRIDGE – As the Alberta economy continues to struggle due to low oil prices, agriculture is still a bright spot in the province with companies looking to hire.

Those searching for work can participate in an Agricultural Job Fair in Lethbridge this week.

It will take place in the lower grandstand at Exhibition Park on Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. and again on Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Workforce Consultant Bryon Anderson says over 22 employers will be on hand looking to fill almost 100 full and part time jobs. Some of them are seasonal, while others are year-round positions. They will be looking for a wide range of skillsets from entry level, right up to skilled trade, degree, and masters degree.

Anderson adds that job seekers should bring a resume and be prepared to interview on the spot, as rooms will be set aside for private one-on-one interviews.
